The Western Australian Multicultural Awards celebrate and recognise the significant role Western Australians from culturally and linguistically diverse (CaLD) backgrounds play in creating a vibrant and successful society. The awards also recognise individuals and organisations that promote multiculturalism and support Western Australians from CaLD backgrounds.
Groups and individuals are invited to nominate in the following categories:
Previous winners of the WA Multicultural Awards include Olympian Peter Bol, netballer Sunday Aryang and visual artist Abdul Abdullah.Nominations are open to any member of the Western Australian community. Please check the eligibility criteria for each award before nominating. You can nominate the same person or organisation for more than one category, but they can only receive one award. Past winners are eligible for an award in the same category, but not for the same project. Administered by the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries’ Office of Multicultural Interests, the awards will be presented at a gala ceremony on 14 March 2025, to mark the start of Harmony Week.For more information, go to Western Australian Multicultural Awards 2025.Nominations close at 11:59pm Sunday 19 January 2025.
