The Office of Multicultural Interests (OMI) works to harness Western Australia's rich cultural diversity for the benefit of all. WA is home to diverse communities originating from all over the world, all of whom expand WA's cultural horizons, our heritage, our skill levels and our global competitiveness.
WA's culturally diverse communities are a source of skills and entrepreneurship as well as innovative and creative capital, contributing strongly to the State's development on every level.
OMI strives to encourage and assist all Western Australians from culturally diverse backgrounds to access opportunities and services, build their capacity, and fully understand their rights and responsibilities. We do this by providing them with information, skills and opportunities to enable to them to achieve their highest potential.
OMI continues to develop and implement innovative programs and services that support WA's diverse communities and inform policy development across government.
As OMI's Executive Director, I look forward to further strengthening community relationships and building awareness of the immense contributions and potential of WA's many diverse communities.
